Meet Your Hosts
Tom is a 20 plus year paratrooper and veteran of the US Army. After retiring from the Army, Tom got into the trucking business.
After about a year running a small trucking company in Tennessee, he moved back to where he had based most of his life, near Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Tom spent the next 5 plus years as a Fleet Manager for 2 major trucking companies before deciding to branch off into his own adventure. He is a resident of the state of Minnesota and has heard just about all drivers can say and do……OR HAS HE?? Guess you will only know by tuning in!
Before getting in to trucking I had several long term sales careers. I was a Presidents Club Member in two different industries.
I got into the trucking business and really enjoyed it. I drove for 9 years and 7 of those years were as an owner operator. I have owned my equipment outright and have had to make monthly payments on equipment. I rode the donkey ride and it was good to me. The best thing about trucking was that if you didn’t cause yourself problems, (for the most part) there were no problems. I had to get out of the truck due to a tumor on my spine. After the operation I transitioned into the brokerage side of the business at the worst/best time to get in the business.
